Turf Installed by Southwest Greens Long Island Withstands the Wrath of Hurricane Sandy
As the debris continues to clear following the wrath of Hurricane Sandy nearly six months after, one thing that will require no repair or clean-up is a state-of-the-art synthetic lawn installed by Southwest Greens Long Island.
Taken just days after Hurricane Sandy, this picture shows the synthetic turf lawn, unharmed by the storm. While the floods of Hurricane Sandy caused this Long Island home’s entire walkway, steps and platform along with the railings to shift off its original footprint (through the center of the turf), the Southwest Greens synthetic lawn remained in place, shedding some light on the grim situation as Long Islanders began their clean-up and the road to recovery.
As the Atlantic’s largest hurricane of record, Hurricane Sandy caused more than $75 billion in damages. In Long Island, NY alone, more than 100,000 homes were destroyed or damaged by the Category 3 storm.
Southwest Greens custom state-of-the-art installations provide a life-like synthetic lawn that makes outdoor living fun, easy and maintenance free. For more information on Southwest Greens, visit www.southwestgreens.com and the Southwest Greens Facebook page.
